Thank you to those who joined our January Parent Association meeting and an extra shout out to everyone who stayed after the meeting or volunteered to help with our incredible New York, New York themed Spirit Lunch. Thank you to our PA Co-Chairs, Rachael and Maile, for leading the charge on this event as well as Admin, Kitchen Staff, our planning committee, and everyone who helped make this a special day. We appreciate all your hard work!

Parent Education: We have two ParentEd Talks coming up in the month of February.

  • Confident Conversations: Guiding Kids Through Puberty and Adolescence with Julie Metzger, founder of Great Conversations, and Peter Metzger, pediatrician.
    • Wednesday, February 5, 7-8pm. Zoom link provided with registration.

  • The Lost Art of Civility: Raising Respectful Kids with authors Robert B. Brooks and Sam Goldstein.
    • Tuesday, February 25, 12-1pm. Zoom link provided with registration.

  • Community Event: We are still looking for a date for our community event to discuss the parent education events we have taken part in this school year. We will focus on the events from Haidt, Kanojia, and Ruston. If you haven’t had a chance to watch those events, check them out. More details to come.

 

All-School Family Dance – Friday, February 21

Please join us in planning our All-School Family Dance! We will meet on Wednesday, February 5 at 8:30am in the Parish Admin Building. Can’t make the meeting but still interested in helping? Reach out to Parent_Association@st-johnschool.org.

Preschool Q&A – Tuesday, February 11, 8:30am, Parish Admin Building

If you applied for your child to join the new 5-day Preschool Program and want more information, join Principal Mansfield as she answers your questions. Hope to see you there!

 

2025 Auction Update: Here’s what you need to know to prepare for our Auction coming up on Friday, April 4 at Fremont Studios.

  • Auction Ticket Flash Sale will take place February 18-25. This will be the lowest price available for this event. Get your tickets as soon as they go on sale!
    • Ticket sales end on Tuesday, March 18.
  • The last Procurement date is Thursday, February 20. As part of our fair share commitments, each family is asked to provide quality auction item(s) or make a cash donation of $250. Please see the item donation and cash donation pages for more information.
  • The Sponsorship deadline is Thursday, February 20. If you have a business that would like to sponsor the auction, check out details here.
  • Consider volunteering! We’re looking for a shadow auction chair, item photographer, and auction catalog designer. Reach out to Lauren Exnicios at lmexnicios@st-johnschool.org for more details.
